I
was very excited to help sister Karen @capitolaquilter with the completion on “Eyes”, a collaborative quilt that began in year three of the #Beesewcial Group. For the puzzling of this quilt Karen sewed 3 blocks and extensively used bridging portions and partial seams. I used a improvised clam-shell quilting motif throughout to tie in the variety of eye interpretations presented by Karen’s “Bee-mates”. Double batting, silk and metallic threads were used to add textural interest. Additional photos of quilt blocks in progress.
