his foundation paper pieced project was designed and pieced during the Modern Quilt Guild (MQG) Masters Workshop held in Hudson River Valley, featuring Violet Craft. “COY KOI” used 155 pieces to construct the main fish which is enhanced with gold metallic thread and French knots. The “Pond” 3 dimensional illusion is created with tight “Brain Coral” quilting, silk thread and double batting. Measuring 20'“ w x 20” h, the fabric used was by Kona and Anna Marie Horner.
